Frequently Asked Questions
What is the employer's contribution split in EPF?
The employer contributes 12% of basic wages. Out of this, 8.33% (capped at ₹1,250 based on the ₹15,000 wage ceiling) goes to the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS), and the remaining 3.67% goes to the EPF.
Does EPF interest compound monthly?
No. While interest is computed monthly on the running balance, it is credited and compounded annually at the end of the financial year.
